It has been 10 years since Tone City was established and about 18 years since our designer J.Wong start his effect pedals designing experience, As the first model of ULTIMATE Series, LOONG is more like an sublimation based on our technology and tones designing experience in the passed years.
LOONG is a super mighty distortion & Pre-amp pedal among our products. It includes two individual channels and deliveries most classic and distinguish British amplifiers distortion tones. You may find some characters of“Model M” and “Golden Plexi” tones. But It get brand new level on the functions, fullness & dynamics on the tones.
Based on our independently developed DC/DC voltage conversion technology, LOONG's internal voltage reaches ±15V. Compared to the common 9V or the ±9V voltage of most charge pump boost technologies, LOONG's provide amazing headroom and dynamics.
The red channel has a more modern, high-gain tone with very impact dynamics and a wide range of EQ adjustments. can easily get you an aggressive, heavy metal tone.With active 3 band EQ and Presence adjustment which provide clean and tightness tone by the toggle switch, this channel can easily get you from very thick &clean (up)aggressive distortion mode to very tight & fuller aggressive mode(down).
Different from the asymmetric clipping of the red channel, the distortion of the blue light channel is based on the symmetric clipping design, and you will find its less low gain and more strengthened mid range gain than the red-light channel.
And it has LEAD and Rhythm modes, The distortion tone in LEAD mode is highly adaptable, accommodating a variety of styles from blues to rock. In RYHTHM mode, the distortion is further reduced, making it easy to achieve a crunchy tone. With active EQ adjustments, it can even produce a very pleasing clean tone.
